Master Bathroom Makeover
DIY | April 2020
Hi, I’m Gianna.
Today, I want to share the transformation process of our master bathroom.
But before we get started, let’s take a look at the ‘before’ pictures.
Before purchasing this house, the biggest concern I had was, without a doubt, the master bathroom. I didn’t like the wall color, the plain mirrors, and the rather uninspiring cookie-cutter cabinets. Drawing courage from my previous experience of painting kitchen cabinets, I started right away to renovate our master bathroom.
Similar to the kitchen cabinets, I separated the doors and applied primer before applying two coats of paint. Then, I added black handles. After that, I covered the cabinets with vinyl and began the wall painting. The paint I used for the cabinets is Benjamin Moore Advance Baby Fawn (satin).
And I removed the large mirrors on both sides of the bathroom wall. Then, I applied primer to the wall to cover the existing color. After priming, I applied the white paint I chose, Behr Simply White(eggshell).
Now it’s time to change the lighting. The concept for the master bathroom is soft nude shades with black accents, so I replaced the lighting with a modern-style fixture featuring black elements to match the overall concept.
Next, I added an oval mirror with a black frame, and it seamlessly complemented the lighting, creating a harmonious look.
I’m done! Now, please enjoy the complete photos of the master bathroom!
