Transformation Part.2

Hi, I’m Gianna.

Welcome back to Part 2 of our project

I wanted to add some character to the plain walls. I considered using wallpaper with prints, but I was aiming for a more classic style. So, I came up with a practical solution: paintable beadboard wallpaper. Beadboard can be expensive, and since we already had plywood installed, I couldn’t add thick beadboard. I applied adhesive to the wallpaper and attached it to about 60% of the wall. To create a seamless look between the drywall and the wallpaper, I used strong adhesive to attach molding along the edges.

Now, all that’s left is painting! I removed all the doors and painted them outside. First, I applied a primer, and then I applied two coats of paint. The paint color I used is Behr: Dove Gray (eggshell finish).

After the paint has dried, I reattach the cabinet doors to their original positions. Then, I added vintage gold knobs for that finishing touch.

Finally, the journey is over! Enjoy the after photos with me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. See you next time!
